Presently there is a small collections of fractions for time signatures available in SMuFL. These seem to be based on the main TS numbers, reduced to 50%. Are there any plans to create separate slots for the fraction numbers?
If not, how will the new Steinberg scoring app deal with fractional Time Signatures? Will the main numbers simply be reduced in size, or will there be support for a dedicated set of numbers?
In my ongoing font project, I will include fingering numbers that are close to half the size of TS numbers, but with improved legibility to compensate for the smaller size. These would be ideally suited for TS fractions as well. However, with no slots for fingerings or separate TS fraction numbers included in SMuFL, The only place to put them is in the optional plane.
