Here is a set of shape note noteheads. As noted above, many of these
geometric shapes are already in the font. Most of these geometric glyphs
are fairly commonly used in percussion notation. A percussionist would
expect to see characters similar to those you have included in Bravura, or
what we ship in Maestro. Noteheads used in shape-note publications
generally are heavier and more stylized, not just bolded. Since each shape
denotes a pitch, these glyphs really do signify something different than
their percussion counterpart.
