Okay; what I will do, then, is move the four arrows from the 'Vocal
techniques' range (U+E687–U+E68A), since their meaning is clearly more
broadly applicable than just to vocal intonation and breathing, into a new
'Arrows and arrowheads' range, into which I will place black and white
arrows together with black and white arrowheads alone in all eight compass
directions (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW).
Hopefully this will provide the desired flexibility of sufficiently
generic arrows and arrowheads without the full weight of the Unicode
Arrows range.
