[smufl-discuss] Re: Glyphs for "col 8va"

Hans Vereyken
I see why adding these col and con glyphs is a bad idea. Still there
is a small argument: "How can I provide the same font-face for 'col'
and 'va' in 'col 8va'. But I agree that this argument isn't sufficient
to actually add the glyph.

I'm still looking through SMuFL and have an additional questions about
chords in figured bass (or basso continuo). If you look in detail
there are many ways of writing a figured bass, I learned most of them
in school, the system we used the most was one with slashes through
the numbers for augmented and diminished ranges. The best example I
could find: http://lilypond.org/doc/v2.16/Documentation/notation/figured-bass
Should I compose these glyphs or is there a change that they are added in SMuFL?
In the example only 7/, 5/ and 6\ are used, in school we used many
more (theoretically any interval could have one of these slashes).

Best regards
