Hufnagelschrift is in a sense a graphical variant of square notation, which is well-presented in Bravura.  It is frequently mixed with square notation in publications — for instance, to denote that a German scribe notated a portion of the music — and is important enough that I would hate to do anything to make it less likely to have a SMuFL-complient font have these symbols. But I do believe that it falls into the category that, say, a Jazz Handwriting Treble Clef would — a graphical variant without intrinsic semantic meaning.
