[smufl-discuss] Re: Is SMuFL's "cClefCombining" LilyPond's varC clef?

It’s inclusion in the Emmentaler font, perhaps warrants this.

I can tell you that it will feature as the default c clef in my own upcoming font, which to a certain extent intends to emulate the particular look of french publications from the first half of the 20th century. I intend to include the regular c clef as a stylistic alternate as well.
