Thanks Daniel. Personally, I think adding just a wide and narrow sine wave glyph would be adequate, I've never seen the square or sawtooth glyph used in this way. We certainly see the group glissando glyphs used too, but usually it indicates a somewhat more metered or uniform feel. I most often see the superimposed wavy lines associated with rain sticks, bell trees, and wind chimes.
