Well there is some sence behind usage of a natural-like sign for an
open time signature. If you look at the example from Khaykovich music
you will find that this marker is used same way as cancelling of
outgoing key signature, i.e. it is used at the end of the staff system
rather than at the beginning of the next one, and also there is no
such marking at the beginning of the piece even though there is also
an open time. So this sign is used for cancelling previoud time
signature rather than for stating an open time (this is stated
separately by a text "senza metro").

I'm sure this sign has never been used by anyone else, and that was
invented not even by the author but by the editor who prepared
Khaykovich music for publication.

As far as Hanuš example is concerned I haven't seen any other examples
using that infinity-like sign for open time as well. (Or maybe seen
but cannot recall where).

So both of those are of course far too be in common usage and you are
probably right, they should not be included to the SMuFL.

Today while I was looking by examples of open time signature I've
found even one more symbol used for this purpose, which looks like
diagonally striked O:

Charles Boone. "Parallels" for violin and piano. Komp., San Francisco, 1964:

I think this is also quite a local one, so you probably don't want to
include that to SMuFL as well.
