Thanks Daniel for explaining the policy behind adding or not adding
the symbols to SMuFL and behind doing that with a dedicated code point
or as stylistic alternate.

I understood that when suggesting anything we shouldn't forget that
there is a word "Standard" in SMuFL abbreviation and of course there's
plenty of things which are far to be standard.

However there are new points about the diagonally stroked O-like
symbol used for open time signature. First, as Myke noted, this sign
is being used by himself and for some other authors.

Taking into account Myke's explanation about nature of this symbol
(empty set sign) we can notice that in the same time it can have also
another nature, a medieval proportion, and thus it could be included
into "Medieval and Renaissance prolations" group.

This sign is used multiple times by Willi Apel in his "Die Notation
der polyphonen Musik".

Here there are excerpts from

German version:
http://notovodstvo.ru/smufl/medieval/apel-DE.pdf

English version:
http://notovodstvo.ru/smufl/medieval/apel-EN.pdf

I include both because they have little differences. There are
actually five symbols not included in SMuFL. I list them here (in the
order they are mentioned by Apel with reference to the basic SMuFL
glyph and to the pages of the book) so that you might want to include
them:

as "mensuralProlation6" (U+E8A5) diagonally stroked (p. 158-DE, 147-EN)
as "mensuralProlation2" (U+E8A1) horizontally stroked (p. 158-DE, 147-EN)
as "mensuralProlation5" (U+E8A4) diagonally stroked (p. 190-DE, 175-EN)
as "mensuralProlation2" (U+E8A1) diagonally stroked (p. 190-DE, 175-EN)
as "mensuralProlation7" (U+E8A6) diagonally stroked (p. 191-DE, 176-EN)

All the best,
Peter
