I agree with this decision, though I think that if this change happens there should be more space between the different sections left for future expansion. If unicode had done this, we wouldn’t be needing all this discussion.  :-)

In the worst case, if expansions need to add more characters than there is space for, I think it would be better to have non-contiguous sections than multiple code sections that specify similar musical glyphs (e.g., if we had forgotten to include C clefs, list them with the rest of the clefs even if their code points were far away than to make a far distant “additional clefs” section)
