Could you describe in more detail, perhaps by attaching a small picture or
by posting a picture to an image hosting service (e.g. Imgur), exactly
what you mean by this?
In general, at least for fonts intended for use in scoring applications,
it is anticipated that the scoring application itself will draw the stems,
because the stem length for a note varies according to the position of the
note in the staff, any parent beam, and so on. So only very basic stems
are included in SMuFL to help with creating simple examples in text-based
applications.
