Thanks for the ideas, all. I tried converting Bravura with FontForge,
but got lots of conversion warnings and the results were really poor
quality. Probably I was using FontForge wrongly, though.
I settled on switching APIs and using WPF (Windows Presentation
Foundation) which copes nicely with the original OpenType version of
Bravura.
