Continuing with the proposed additions to the plainchant notation:
* New single-note form: Oriscus liquescens
I've seen it within the glyph repertory of Gregorio [1] and the Joseph
Pothier plainchant font for text settings [2]. I've never actually
spotted it in the wild, but given that two independent implementations
provide for it, that would only mean I haven't seen enough publications
yet. The recent transcription app for Corpus Monodicum treats both
liquescent and oriscus as note modifiers [3], thus makes the liquescent
oriscus possible too, although without any distinct graphical features
other than oriscus rendered smaller.
Caeciliae-like design for the note can be seen in the Gregorio variant of
Caeciliae, Greciliae, that's available in the project's repository [4].
Both Caeciliae and the Joseph Pothier font employ a form of an oriscus
with a curled up ending, just like the other liquescents.

Grzegorz Rolek
