That notation has the significant disadvantage of being highly ambiguous, much more so than overlapping noteheads (in my humble opinion, at least).
I realise that the criteria for the inclusion of a given glyph in SMuFL are rather nebulous (perhaps a little like Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart, I know a glyph that should be included when I see it!) but whatever they are, I remain unconvinced that "unison whole note" meets it.
