Yes, I too agree that it should find its way as an alternate glyph (my November implementation is but an æsthetical choice).
I think I saw it in Marc Honegger’s excellent dictionary, but I don’t have it handy at the moment.

I just came across this, though:

So this makes our clef a bit neanderthalesque in the general evolution of symbols...

Great if that can be added in a future issue of SMuFL.
