Hi Daniel,
whole/half bar-rest-symbols with attached
staffline-section are handy when the rests have
to be displayed without barlines.
The attached staffline-portion is the only way
to make this black rectange appear as a rest
and of course to distinguish between half and whole.
I would propose to add those two symbols (as "free"
or "staffless" alternatives).
