[smufl-discuss] raising / lowering notes

Greetings,

SMuFL novice here.

It appears to me that the glyphs on “combining staff positions”, staffPosRaiseX, staffPosLowerX, etc., are meant to change the vertical position of notes.

Trying to use the Bravura font on Mac OS X / iOS, I am not seeing any vertical movement when these glyphs are applied.

I have tried searching the web, but results so far are sparse.

Any suggestions? Maybe a concrete example to make sure I’m doing it right overall?
